Associate Director, Debt Advisory
5th Line is a leading aggregator of vertically-focused financial services for growth-stage companies; offering a suite of tailor-made solutions in the areas of financial operations, strategic planning and transaction advisory with a specialty in raising non-dilutive capital for our clients.

We are looking for someone to fill our new Associate Director position. This position will focus on new client development & relationship management along with identifying prospective business development & partnership opportunities both on the capital markets and financial services sides of the business.

This role requires someone who is outgoing, personable, problem-solving, and quick learning. Our goal for this position is for whoever fills it to truly own the client development pipeline and grow into a leadership role as we continue to grow our team.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • Executive Suite Sales: 3-5 years - Finance/financial services related preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member
  • Goal-oriented & relationship-focused
  • Has demonstrated an ability to develop & manage long-term client relationships (beyond just a “transaction”) by articulating value proposition to a target client base
  • Must be a quick learner & excellent problem-solver in a competitive environment
  • Outgoing personality & able to develop relationships often over the phone or computer
  • Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
  • You love closing deals using complex market research and focusing on continuous learning and improvement

Director, Debt Advisory
5th Line is a leading aggregator of vertically-focused financial services for growth-stage companies; offering a suite of tailor-made solutions in the areas of financial operations, strategic planning and transaction advisory with a specialty in raising non-dilutive capital for our clients. First and foremost, the Director position’s main responsibility will be establishing new relationships while leveraging current ones within our space to generate new business for the firm. The role also requires basic finance knowledge and the ability to evaluate financial materials to qualify opportunities.

Our Venture Debt team helps growth-stage, cash-burning companies secure debt financing while avoiding dilution through equity raise. We first assess where clients fit in the market and then shoulder the workload of credit review and approval processes to deliver fast, favorable capital solutions from our network of trusted venture-oriented partners — even when clients do not fit traditional venture debt profiles.

The person filling this role has experience in investment banking, venture lending, investing, or similar; with a network from which to pull, experience from which to draw, and the “know-how” when it comes to identifying when an opportunity is viable. This person is outgoing, problem-solving, quick learning, persistent, and can negotiate.


Qualifications & Requirements

  • 7+ Years of relationship management experience within the Venture Debt or Equity Space, preferably at a banking or financial services institution.
  • Track record of prospecting, developing & working relationships to become active clients
  • Demonstrated ability to work solo as well as being a productive team member
  • Has a network of contacts to bring to the table
  • Has demonstrated an ability to develop & manage long-term relationships (beyond just a “transaction”)
  • Must be a quick learner & excellent problem-solver in a competitive environment
  • Outgoing personality & able to develop relationships often over the phone or computer
  • Has a strong work ethic and is eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
